As soon as we got off the plane we had to drive to Baffin Bay with a stop off at our bay house to get all the gear and then drive down past Corpus Christie to Baffin Bay to fish with a student and his wife.   We had fished with them last month with Captain Sally and her husband Captain Black.  Baffin Bay is known for its trophy trout but with the weather this year being so strange any trout or red fish is good. We fish... Teaching in South Dakota

Hunters Point Sporting Clays We finally got to Hunters Point Sporting Clays in Humbolt, South Dakota.  Don’t know where Humbolt, SD is, it is 16 miles west of Sioux Falls, SD.  Tony Bour the owner had been trying to get us to come up there for 2 years but it just never worked out so we squeezed it in this year to teach on Thursday, Friday, Saturday to return to Houston on Saturday night as we need to be somewhere else ... Taking time off in Alaska

Just returning from a vacation in Alaska.  Vacation is not something we get to do and this one was very special as we spent it with our daughter Andrea, her husband Tim and most importantly with one of our granddaughters Avery.  We spent a whole week away from the heat in Houston to spend in chilly Alaska. Our trip started in Seattle to catch a cruise ship to sail for 1 day from Seattle to Ketchikan, Alaska.  We arrive... Advanced School #2

We began this school with a lot of talk about Peripheral Acceptance of the gun farther and farther behind the gun. This is such a hard thing to do as it is very uncomfortable but the way to improve is to get very comfortable having the gun away from the target.The brain’s job is to make you comfortable. Vicki’s Blog-Advance Class #1 The first advance class was a true learning experience. We had some new faces and some repeaters but it was a good mix and a lot of ah-ha’s came about. Day 1-the theme was to preload the shot and finish the shot. By preload we mean being clear to the brain what you want it to do.
