Remember, you are programming, not reacting. When\u00a0you react, you will always get what the brain sees now, not what you want the brain to begin seeing.<\/p>\n
All you need to think about what I discovered last week in San Angelo. I had a student that shot a high rib\u00a0Guerini with the\u00a0comb straight in line with the stock. When I asked him if it fits him, he said he thought so. He was looking down the gun (go figure)\u00a0but there was an underlying reason why. He complained\u00a0that he could hit anything from the right, but nothing from the left.<\/p>\n
Well,\u00a0wait ’til you hear what I discovered.<\/p>\n
When he\u00a0mounted and shot his gun, he\u00a0was shooting 15\u2033 left at 16 yards. So guess what that did to his reciprocal pictures? He had built-in lead such that he needed to shoot right at everything from the right. And\u00a0from the left, he\u00a0needed two to three\u00a0times the lead necessary to hit the target. Having success on right targets looking down the barrel embedded in his brain\u00a0“look down the gun”\u00a0<\/i>and he had to see so much lead on a left target his brain was rejecting the necessary picture.<\/p>\n
We moved his comb over as far as it would go, and bingo. He began to smash everything\u00a0from either side all afternoon. He shot incredibly the next day and he began to say that the pictures made sense. His\u00a0preload was across the barrel or left of the barrel and same speed at the end. And\u00a0what a difference\u2026.<\/p>\n
Do the three-bullet drill with your bullets only six inches\u00a0apart and begin to look at the confusion. It will come. Remember, you are telling your brain what you want it to see. Slower targets to train the circuit.<\/p>\n
