Should I Change Chokes?

Choke is a mystery many will never understand. And as a result, it will confound more people than it will help.

My research has proven that you can adjust the diameter of the shot cloud inside of 25 yards greater than you can beyond. If a target is going to be broken inside of 25 yards, we recommend a .005 Skeet choke because it will give you the largest reliable pattern at any distance inside of 25 yards.

Some shooters don’t bother changing chokes and just leave IC or Light Mod in their gun for all presentations. But inside of 25 yards, any choke tighter than skeet will throw a smaller diameter pattern. This gives you a smaller pointing error on close targets.
