The Edges of Your Ability
Anything contrary to what we believe is easily dismissed as not believable.
Your performance is the byproduct of your concepts, and the learning threshold is the summit of your current abilities. Your learning threshold, where you’re going to begin to learn, is at the edges of your ability. This is where the “aha” breakthroughs occur. It’s where the head pops come out.
When you constantly push yourself beyond your current ability, always operate at the very edges of your ability.
Greeting failure is an opportunity to learn and improve. That is one of the toughest things to encourage people to do because everybody wants to have a good practice session.
