Competition – Win or Learn
The competition isn’t a win-or-lose thing. The competition is an opportunity for you to lay it all out there on the line and keep giving it a hundred percent.
At the end of the competition, go back and evaluate what happened, what targets were you comfortable on, what targets were you not comfortable on, and what were they (right-to-left, left-to-right, long, short, curling, quartering). It doesn’t matter what they were, but you began to evaluate your overall game and not worry about finding a weak point. That’s where being honest with yourself is huge.
You can’t lie to yourself. And in learning to be honest with yourself, you begin to quit wishing and hoping and begin to start planning and plotting. When you’re really honest with yourself, life becomes much easier.
