The Challenge of Positive Reaction

For most, training your mind to be stronger than your feelings is such a far reach that they can’t even imagine themselves always reacting in a positive way in a difficult negative situation, because it is easier to just give in and enjoy the negativity. Thinking in a situation like this is difficult and must be learned if you want to change, which is why most people judge others’ actions instead of putting forth the effort to say things in a positive way consistently.

Your life will become what your thoughts and reactions make it, and that is a choice that few are willing to make to change themselves into a nonjudgmental positive person. It takes a lot of effort, especially when others around you are so judgmental and give in to the negative side of things because it is easy.

One of the first things people must honestly attempt is to give up trying to control what others might think, say, or do reacting to their actions or words, because when you care about what other people think you will always be their prisoner.

If you want to perform in an excellent way you must do it all the time. You don’t just show up and do something excellent. It takes effort, and you must be determined to be excellent in all aspects of your life. While in the beginning it is a conscious effort, you must have done it enough so that eventually it becomes a habit through repetition and it evolves into who you become.

As you make this transition into excellence in everything you do, it is really difficult in the beginning because you never realized just how negative of a person you were – and all because it is easier to fit in with the crowd than to think about how you want you to react to the situation you find yourself in.

People who choose to make this transition into someone they want to be must give up on who they were and embrace the new person they want to be. It seems so innocent and easy to just change the way you think, but it is not easy at all. In fact, it will be the most difficult thing you will ever undertake. When you begin, you will not know ahead of time whether you will be successful or not. There are no guarantees; just risks and opportunities to improve yourself and your future through conscious effort to turn everything that happens around you into a positive.
