Mental Toughness and Habits

Mental toughness is not about how you think, it’s about what you think. But more importantly, it’s about how many times you thought it in the same way such that you are, when you’re in the zone, you are operating on your habits.

When something is a habit, it happens at a high level without thinking. And, in and of itself, that’s the reason that so many people are looking for something external about mental toughness.

But mental toughness is simply controlling your reactions and creating the right kind of habits to hold you in the environment and mental state that you want to stay in without letting extraneous things pull you out of it.

That’s why when you take the courses that so many people offer, it’s about becoming a better version of yourself. If what you’re operating on is not a habit, you’re going to end up overthinking because you’re not self-assured.
