Baffin Bay
As soon as we got off the plane, we had to drive to Baffin Bay. We had a stop off at our bay house to get all our gear and then drive down past Corpus Christi to the way to fish with a student and his wife. Last month we had fished with them, along with Captain Sally and her husband Captain Black. Baffin Bay is known for its trophy trout, but with the weather this year being so strange, any trout or redfish is good.
We fished for two days, caught some fish, then went back to our bay house for a night. Then we went back to Houston to finally see our new grandson. What a cutie he is – and so good. He slept the whole time I was there and I got to hold and cuddle with him. He was a week old then, and still sleeping a lot. As I always remember, you never wake a sleeping baby.
We worked for a few days, then on Saturday night, we came back to the bay to clean it out because we have dry wood termites that have to be treated with a tent. Everything food-wise has to come out, sheets taken off the bed, etc.
Home on Sunday, hotel on Sunday night. On Monday morning we head to Argentina for eight days of dove and pigeon hunting.
Yay! I can’t wait. It is always a great trip. I will let you know how much fun we had so you can put it on your bucket list to go with us some year.
