Travelling this Month
Brian and Gil went to Iowa to teach coaches and kids of Larry Gay’s SCTP team and I went to Oregon to babysit our granddaughter, Avery.
What a busy week with a 7-year-old. She had every minute planned with fun things – including eating sushi at least once for her… and cooked food for me.
Gil and Brian returned on Monday and then Gil was able to go to the bay house and do a little fishing before I got home late Thursday. Then I went to the bay to do a little fishing, too, but the weather did not work with my schedule.
We have had so much rain in the past three months, and it just keeps on raining. All the rivers around us are finally going down.
The city of Simonton went underwater from the Brazos River going over its banks. Now it’s finally dry enough for the folks to get back to their houses and gut them and start over. Our hearts and prayers go out to them.
Now we are on to Montana and had to bring all the winter clothes back out since it’s going to be colder than the 95 degrees here in Houston.
Our field in Houston should be up and running in the next week or so, as long as we don’t get any more rain. Brian will be spending his time in between teaching getting our machines dried out and up and running again.
Come on, sunshine!
