The Importance of Balance
While balance alone allows for us to move through our complex lives every day, maintaining balance is taken for granted by humans until you reach your 70s. Then you’re made aware of just how important and precious the gyro of balance really is.
If you don’t believe me, ask someone who has a bout with vertigo. They will tell you personal stories of their reaction to their loss of balance control.
If you lead a very active lifestyle, it’s really important to have good balance. Because without it, believe us when we say your world changes dramatically.
We all have three centers for maintaining balance: the inner ear (which does the majority of the heavy lifting), our feet, and our vision. These three areas of the body, combined with the anticipation circuit in our brain, all work in unison to enable us to do some really complicated movements without even thinking about them.
