Keep a Calm Mind

You are going to miss. Accept it and move on. But knowing what missing does to your physiology can be very helpful.
While we’ve observed that different shooters react in different ways, they all speed up. You lose control between the pairs and stations and you must get it back by first slowing down and getting back in control of your pace in everything that you do. Focus on the task at hand and trust your routines and plans.
Shooters whose practice and training have prepared them for keeping a calm mind under any circumstances by maintaining a constant pace in everything they do and think and say will always perform more consistently. And they will continue to improve because of their calm mind under (sometimes extreme) pressure.
